Boring

I know it's been a while since I've blogged, but I promise I'm not slacking off again and falling behind.  I just have nothing to post about.  It's been a fairly boring month with weather cold enough to keep us inside doing nothing blog-worthy.  But if you do want an update, here ya go:  Since the last time I blogged, we've all been sick.  Crazy, crazy sick around here.  I was pretty much sick for the entire month of October (wish I was kidding), and finally went to the doctor in early November.  He kept saying, "WHY did you let it go this long???"  Anyway, I was put on a couple of different medications and feel much better now.

The kids have all been sick off and on as they trade illnesses back and forth.  Gallons of hand sanitizer have gotten us to the point where we're finally all healthy at the same time (*knock on wood* I'm totally jinxing us now).  Lexi's cold turned into croup this last weekend, but she's doing better now.  I was talking to our pediatrician about how sick my kids have been this fall (they all had the flu mist in September) and she said, "You have one in nursery, which is a germ cesspool, one in preschool, which is also a germ cesspool, and one in kindergarten where parents send their kids to school sick all the time just to get a perfect attendance award at the end of the year.  Of course they all keep getting sick!  You're getting hit triple the normal amount and then they all come home and share the germs as they play.  I'll see you next week!"  At least next year we can knock nursery and preschool off that list!

So, there you go.  Nothing exciting, but sometimes life is better that way.

Sky Jumping

This past Saturday, my cousin's little girl had her 7th birthday party at a trampoline arena in Layton.  It's fairly new (and expensive!) so we hadn't been there yet.

At the end of these tramps was a huge pit full of foam squares that the kids got to jump into.
There was a short zip line where the kids got to drop into a pit of the foam squares at the end.
Lexi needed lots of help to reach the handle.  haha

"Nooo!!!"
So, it's not the best picture, but Lexi was hilarious!  When she got to the end, she was terrified to let go.  Everyone kept yelling, "Let go!  Let go!"  But she just hung there.  I knew she'd eventually drop (thanks gravity!), but she was surprisingly strong and held on longer than any of the adults thought she would.  hahaha

I expected Kaden to be a little nervous about it, but he wasn't at all!

Another little jumping area.

Just for little kids!
Then it was time for pizza!  The workers are smart and make the kids jump for a little over an hour first, then eat so that there's no one puking all over the tramps.

Sophia the birthday girl!

A cute little frozen yogurt station where the kids got to choose their own toppings.

Ari enjoyed her cupcake.
The kids had a total blast and got SO much energy out!  Kaden is always bouncing all over the place, so when we're stuck in the house in the dead of winter, price may not matter to me anymore and we might be seeing a lot more of this place.  ;)
