Kaden's first day of Kindergarten

August 26th was Kaden's first day of kindergarten.  *sniff*

Oh my gosh I love this kid so much.
Parents got to stay for the first hour that day, so I snuck a picture in.  :)
My baby is growing up.

More soccer

Soccer has gotten even better as the weather slowly cools down.

The girls are so patient with these weekly games for the last year and a half.

Shane helping Lexi do flips.

This dad was such a jerk.  He's on the other team and he spent the entire game SCREAMING at his kid.  It was so sad.

Kaden's back to school night

Kaden has been wanting to go see his new school, Voyage Academy, for months as we watched it being built.  So he was more than ready by the time back to school night rolled around!

Kaden's teacher is Mrs. LeFevre (pronounced "LeFever") and she's so, so great.  After his assessment test, she was really impressed and said that if he knew rhyming (something I'd never even thought to teach him), he would be bored the whole year!  She also said he'd be reading in no time because he was so close already.  As of now, he can read up to three letter words with ease and is working on the bigger stuff daily.

Thinking ahead

I saw an idea on Pinterest back in July, then emailed it to my sister, Suzanna, because I knew she would know how to make it happen.  She did!  We made shirts for all of the kids' first days of kindergarten.

First, we cut out the letters/numbers with an exacto knife on freezer paper.

Then, you iron it down and paint it whatever color you want.

Then you take cute pictures while the paint dries.

The future generation!!

Serenity was being so adorable.

She's so stinkin' cute!

Texas Roadhouse

We went out with Shane's parents on the 19th for my birthday (that was the 18th).  We got there a bit early, so we headed into the mall to let the kids play while we waited.

It was a good dinner, but with no pictures because I was running Lexi to the bathroom all night (again!).  I think she must have a really sensitive stomach.

1st day of preschool!!

Lexi's first day of preschool was August 19th!

Poor Ari.  Wants to be big so bad.

1st soccer game

Here we go again!  Another year of soccer!  But this time, the coaching and teams are set! YAY!!

Coach Mike is really, really good with the kids.

This was taken seconds before he scored the first goal of the game and the season.

Proud soccer player

He took my picture...

Cute Lexi.  She's a great cheerleader.

Yay for soccer!!

Davis County Fair

I'd never been to the Davis County Fair, but I saw a flyer that said they would have elephant rides this year. so naturally, we headed over there!

Silly faces

Too short...
Kaden didn't want to go in the petting zoo, but the girls sure did!  They wanted to take all the babies home.  Ari kept saying, "Awww tute!" (Cute)

Moooo

Ari's favorite animal

Cute little bunny in the bunny building

We walked by the dog water show and it was about as excited as this picture.  Not at all.

Balloon animal time!
 Pony rides!

That's my friend, Jess, in the pink.

Pump the water!

Those lego machines held a piece of paper and the machine turned the paper in circles really fast while the kids colored on them.

It was 103 degrees that day, so we didn't end up staying very long.  Oh!  And the elephant rides were lame.  $8 for the elephant to barely walk five steps (I counted).  It was sad.  Plus, I'm a grouch in extreme heat or cold.  Pretty sure we need to move where it's 75 degrees year round with no snow. :)
