Independence Day

Our 4th of July was busy, busy, busy!

At the West Point Parade

Oh my gosh he just kills me.  Love his expressions!

Loads of tractors

This was Shane's face when he saw the next tractor....

Shane said, "Why on earth is SANTA on a tractor?!?!  That doesn't even make sense!"

We haven't ever gone to the booth stuff after, but thought we'd check it out this year.

The kids saw this and knew this is what heaven looks like.

Lexi disappearing through the course.

We didn't stay too long because it was HOT, HOT and Kaden was developing a weird rash.  (Heat rash is supposed to be itchy, and this wasn't, but I still think that's what it was.)

We hit up our favorite place for lunch: RC Willey!

This is what the kids and I do while Shane covets the electronics.

I was supposed to work that night, but my boss ended up getting someone to cover my shift so that I could take my kids to the fireworks.  So great!  We met up with friends at the Layton fireworks.  Kevin's mom's house is across the street from where the fireworks go off, so we got to enjoy them with a fenced in yard and a close bathroom for the kids.  It was awesome!

Doing our own mini-fireworks pre-show.

Jess and Sam

Still overheated.

Kevin sat in this chair and broke it.  bahahaha

Shane was playing with the fireworks setting on our camera, but this is the best one he got.  I wasn't impressed with the setting.

Syracuse Heritage Days

On June 26th, we went to the Syracuse Heritage Days activity for kids.  It was free, which is my favorite price.

Kaden and Lexi going up...

Look how terrified he looks. hahahaha  I'm so mean.  But he loved it and had to go again!

This was the instant before her leg that is up caught on the side and she bounced off the sides on her way down.  She loved it.

Ari wasn't a fan of the bounce house.

CANDY!

Kelly took over for time purposes and did a great job with Thomas the Tank on Logan

Besties

See the ball ABOVE her head?  Yeah.  She got a redo for that.  ;)

Much better.

When it was their turn, the girl said, "Go" and Liz, Lexi, and Logan all dove in at the same time.  SO FUNNY when they got stuck.

Ari decided she wanted to try the big slide...and then got stuck halfway up.

So I made Kelly go rescue her.

Thanks, Kelly!

This was funny because Kaden and Lexi were both really good at tossing the bean bags in.  The girl was like, "Um, wow!  They're good!"  I told her that they had lots of practice (thanks to Kelly's awesome birthday parties!).

It was so much fun and made me start thinking of ways to sabotage Kelly's move to Texas.  mwahahahaha

Dinosaur Park

A few weeks ago, we went with Kelly and her kids to the Dinosaur Park.  I'd never been there before, and neither had my kids.

Kelly told them to do "scared" faces.  Love this pic!

More scared faces, but Kelly missed the memo.  ;)
There were some totally random people dressed up (not as dinosaurs, so, yes, I'm confused as to why they were there.  I couldn't decide if they were just weirdos walking around or actually supposed to be there.).  Kaden waved from a distance, Lexi uneasily ran up and high fived them, and I watched Ari to see her reaction.

"Hi!!!"
Ari walked right up to them and was high fiving all of them and smiling.  I was like, "SHE'S READY FOR DISNEYLAND!!!!!  LET'S GO!!!"

I'm loving this posing stage.

Lexi being a scary dinosaur.

Play time!

Oh Kaden, someday I'm going to use these silly faced pictures against you.
It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be, and only one kids out of six was bleeding when we left!  Success!!
