We started the day by going to Kaden's school to watch him in the costume parade!
| The girls ran around in the gym to kill time. |
| Handsome Power Ranger! |
We headed to lunch at Warren's because it was free for kids in costume!
| Graceful as always... |
Lexi wanted her hair like Princess Tiana. I did the best I could with short hair and Lexi loved it. :)
| There's tons of glitter in it, too. |
| The red Power Ranger, Princess Tiana, and Princess Sophia the First (a Disney Channel princess) |
| Some of the neighbors go all out. |
| Trick-or-treat!! |
Kaden and Shane were done when it got too dark to see (for Shane), so the girls and I kept going.
| Lexi LOVED this yard. |
Two stories:
1) There was a teenage neighbor who dressed up in a scary clown outfit and had a (fake) chainsaw. He was scaring everyone, regardless of age. Now, I don't know this kid cause he's down the block and we barely know our direct neighbors, but that didn't stop me from scolding him like he was my own. Before he even had a chance to think about it, I started laying into him with threats like, "If you so much as think about scaring my children, you WILL be over at my house at 3:00 AM when they wake up screaming because of you!!" Apparently he believed me because the chainsaw stayed off and he kept his distance from us. bahahaha
2) When the girls and I walked in the door, Kaden was rifling through his candy. He looked up, grabbed some of his candy, and came towards us saying, "Here's some Smarties in case you girls didn't get any." I melted right on the spot. He's the sweetest kid ever!! And he's been doing that the whole time we've been home (about an hour now). He'll open a candy (like Lemonheads) and say, "Okay, who wants some lemonade?" and share whatever he's eating. Love him!!
